North Wales Primary Bath: Space Well Spent

Project Overview
This North Wales couple had plenty of square footage in their primary bath — just not where they needed it.
A large soaking tub dominated the bathroom, even though it was rarely used. The shower felt tight. A single bowl vanity meant taking turns in the morning. And linen storage lived in a freestanding cabinet on the floor.
They weren’t looking for a cosmetic refresh, they wanted a bathroom that worked for two — with double sinks, a larger shower, built-in storage, and still a place to soak when they felt like it.
Getting there meant more than rearranging fixtures; the footprint had to grow.

Design Process
The first step was reclaiming square footage. By shifting walls and borrowing space from neighboring areas, the team created room for a double vanity and a dedicated linen cabinet with roll-out trays — storage that feels built-in rather than added on.
The bathing area was reimagined as a combined tub and shower “wet zone.” Partial-height walls define the space without closing it off, and a waterfall accent tile detail draws the eye upward before wrapping horizontally through the shower area.
New flooring extends beyond the bathroom into the adjoining closets and hall, visually connecting the entire primary suite. Updated finishes throughout the space give the suite a cohesive, finished feel — not just a renovated bath, but a rebalanced retreat.

"Every person working on the project was personable and professional. They all went above and beyond my expectations."
