Serene Maple Glen Primary Bath Retreat

Project Overview

Our team began by reconfiguring the entire space for improved flow and functionality. Removing the bulky drop-in tub immediately opened up the room, creating a more spacious feel. Installing a pocket door provided additional usable wall space, while the window was thoughtfully resized to accommodate a new linen closet.

The shower became a standout feature with its frameless glass design that eliminates visual barriers. Inside, blue glass accent tile creates a striking focal point against the porcelain walls. Practical elements include a zero-threshold entry, a convenient bench with quartz top, and multiple shower fixtures: a standard showerhead and two handheld wands — one just under the showerhead, and one positioned near the bench for accessibility.

The vanity area was expanded with custom maple cabinetry finished in a warm antique barrel stain that coordinates beautifully with the Calacatta Abezzo quartz countertops. A convenient laundry pull-out cabinet provides much-needed storage, and a dedicated makeup desk with a lighted mirror and custom drawer inserts provides the perfect space for daily preparations.

Other luxury touches include Moen’s Wynford-style fixtures in polished chrome, a standalone bidet, and a sleek wall-mounted heating unit that ensures year-round comfort. All these elements combine to create a bright, accessible, and sophisticated bathroom retreat these homeowners will enjoy for years to come.
