Harleysville Master Bathroom Renovation

Project Overview

The old bath had little storage in the vanity, causing everyday items had to be stored in bins and buckets in the linen closet.  The shower was very cramped, causing elbows to smack against the walls regularly.  The inadequate ventilation caused the bathroom to become so steamy after a shower that one of our clients had to finish getting ready in the morning in the hall bath. There was also no good place to hang wet towels, and the clients wished for an increased sense of privacy in the toilet area.

DESIGN Process

To create the necessary storage, a double vanity cabinet with drawers and a column of drawers between the sinks was installed. The tub was removed, allowing for a generously sized glass-enclosed shower with beautiful tile work and storage niches. A new and properly sized and vented fan eliminates the steamy feeling. We designed a built-in bench with drawers and hooks for damp towels to hang — with extra linen storage above. A knee wall makes for a more private toilet area, with storage space.
