Master Bathroom Transformation

Project Overview

After successfully completing a guest bathroom remodel for this client in Blue Bell, they hired us again to update their large master bathroom. The original bathroom had a very large, separate built-in tub, and a small, closed off shower that was near the toilet, giving little privacy. In addition, the small linen closet did not have sufficient storage space. To make this transformation possible, we focused on four main areas
  1. Expanding & relocating the master shower
  2. Downsizing the tub
  3. Adding a toilet compartment
  4. Updating the vanities

DESIGN Process

To refresh the layout, we gutted the bathroom and created a private toilet compartment, large shower with a built-in bench and linear storage niche.  We incorporated a freestanding tub that better fits the space, and  also added new “his and her” vanities to complete the remodel.

To add warmth to the space (literally!) we installed radiant floor heating and a heated towel rack, allowing the client to stay warm after getting out of the bath or shower.

The overall design scheme was neutral to create a feeling of relaxation and calm. We used large ivory porcelain tiles on the floor and Sherwin Williams ‘City Loft’ – a perfect warm white with grey undertones – on the walls to achieve this and bring comfort to the space. To give the shower a more spa-like feel we used Anatolia Sunset river rocks for the shower floor and as an accent behind the shower controls. We replaced all of the windows to bring in beautiful natural light, and added recessed and decorative lighting to brighten the space even more.

This client loves the simplicity and clean lines, and they were very pleased with the outcome of this bathroom remodel!

From the Owners

“From the outset it was clear that Custom Craft was a professional and very organized company. From the no-hassle design phase, ordering of materials and throughout the actual remodel, everything was well thought out, communicated and, above all, kept perfectly to the work schedule. The quality of the materials and the execution of all areas of the work was first-class. We have never been so happy with a remodel. They made the process painless and stress-free! We will definitely use them again for future projects.”
