Farmers Market

Fresh Picks: Discovering the Hidden Gems of Montgomery County Farmers’ Markets

As home remodelers based in Lansdale, we spend a lot of time helping folks create their dream spaces indoors. But when summer rolls around, there’s nothing we love more than getting outside and exploring the vibrant farmers’ markets that pop up all over Montgomery County. These markets aren’t just about fresh produce — they’re also a celebration of our community, local artisans, and the rich agricultural heritage of southeastern Pennsylvania.

Let us take you on a tour of some of our favorite markets in the area:

Lansdale Farmers’ Market

Right here in our backyard, the Lansdale Farmers’ Market is a Saturday morning staple from May through November. What makes this market special is everything sold here must have a component that is grown, raised, or made by the vendors themselves — no reselling allowed. From farm-fresh eggs to artisanal cheeses and handcrafted soaps, you’ll find a little bit of everything here. Don’t miss the live music that often accompanies your shopping experience!

Telford Night Market

For those who prefer to shop in the cool of the evening, the Telford Night Market is a must-visit. Held on Wednesday nights throughout the summer, this market transforms the Telford Train Station parking lot into a bustling community gathering space. The timing makes it perfect for grabbing dinner from one of the food trucks or picking up ingredients for a midweek meal. What sets this market apart is its festive atmosphere — with twinkling lights and the occasional special event, it feels more like a party than a shopping trip.

Doylestown Farmers Market

Venturing a bit further afield, but still within easy reach, the Doylestown Farmers Market is well worth the trip. This charming market operates on Saturday mornings from spring through fall in the heart of historic Doylestown. The market prides itself on offering a wide array of locally grown and produced items. From farm-fresh vegetables and fruits to artisanal breads, cheeses, and meats, there’s something here for every palate. Many of the vendors are from Bucks County farms, ensuring that your purchases support the local agricultural community.

Ambler Farmers’ Market

The Ambler Farmers’ Market, held on Saturday mornings from May through November, is another gem in our area. Located in the heart of Ambler’s charming downtown, this market emphasizes variety — you can find everything from dog treats to knife sharpening to beer in a small space. In addition, many of the vendors here are certified organic or use sustainable farming methods. It’s a great place to shop if you’re looking to reduce your environmental impact.

So grab your reusable bags, and head out to one of these fantastic markets. Who knows? You might just run into fellow Custom Craft clients, baskets in hand, picking up some fresh ingredients for a summer feast in one of our newly remodeled kitchens!
