North Wales Kitchen Remodel Maximizes Storage and Workspace
Project Overview
This North Wales kitchen remodel transformed a cramped, storage-challenged space into a functional gathering place for a busy family of four.
With two children at home and a love of cooking, the existing kitchen was used constantly. Limited counter space made meal preparation difficult when multiple people were in the room, and a lack of storage forced small appliances, cookware, and pantry items into the basement.
The homeowners wanted a larger kitchen with better organization, professional-grade appliances, and enough storage to keep everything where it belonged.

Design Process
Removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room gave the kitchen the square footage it had been missing, creating space for a large island with storage on every side. The dining room was relocated to a previously underutilized living room, allowing the kitchen to become the true hub of the home.
Tall cabinetry now extends to the ceiling, bringing small appliances up from the basement and keeping everyday essentials within easy reach. A dedicated beverage station includes a wine rack below and antique glass cabinets above, while a custom range hood creates a functional focal point over the cooking area.
The perimeter cabinetry features Legacy’s Hamilton style in Origami White, paired with a Cherry Latte-stained island and beverage station for warmth and contrast. MSI Cashmere Taj quartz countertops and a TileBar Portmore White backsplash complement the professional Wolf range and built-in Sub-Zero refrigerator. A triple-casement window above the sink provides expansive views of the backyard and fills the space with natural light.
To create a seamless transition throughout the home, the existing hardwood floors were refinished and carried into the remodeled space. The result is a kitchen that offers abundant storage, improved functionality, and a welcoming place for family and friends to gather.
